Beautiful, Pheli! I love Cymbidium ensifolium. Very few small-flowered orchids offer that kind of strong and fantastic fragrance. I was "baby-sitting" a friend's ensifolium a couple of years ago while he was on vacation. The plant was small and just starting a bloom cycle. Even with only three blooms on its one tiny spike, the intensity of the wonderful fragrance was simply amazing. He almost didn't get that plant back.

Pheli, not sure how rare your particular clone of ensifolium is but to see this alba form is a rarity over here. Mostly they colored forms. Its very nice.

I agree, I have what I think is C. ensifolium and it is more yellow with some light maroon spots. The fragrance is intense too, so I think it is ensifolium. I'm just not sure. Could we see the whole plant?

This was a gift from a friend and had no tag. I thought I narrowed it down to C. ensifolium? Maybe not? What do you think? The description of the fragrance sure fits!

Great. Thanks for confirming that. I'm waiting on a seed pod from last year. If all goes well, there may be plenty of these to go around the OB!
