I bought it as a large seedling. They also had this in blooming size as well, but since it is my first cym, I wanted to 1. pay less money , and 2. make sure I don't kill it
although, I hear that the grower I purchased from expects it to bloom before the amount of time it is expected to bloom in. I think for a large seedling, it is 18 months, but if I'm lucky, I may get a small flowering next spring fingers crossed!!!
I hope mine can look as healthy as yours one day!!!
oh.. and what is the thing you say to add to the soil? Was it lime stone or something like that?

Cam, you should add some dolomite lime to the mix.

The only thing I ever saw the Post Office go out of their way to deliver were the Packages of Bees I used to order when I kept Bees. I once sent my self a cast Iron Skillet wrapped in Pillows and they managed to bend it.

Harry, I never in my wildest dreams thought it was possible to send Bees through the post. I would like to do that here , hopefully one of our long fingered friends, will "check" the package

Des,
Yes, Bees were delivered that way in the past. Its not the bees that are in the package that the postman is concerned about but the bees that "accompany" the package on the outside. Some always came along outside the package. Keeping bees was actually quite entertaining. A couple of teenagers stole one of my hives once and drove away with it in back of a Volkswagen Bettle. They accident they had was the talk of the town.
North America is loosing it bee population and noone is sure why.
The ghost orchid in the pictures are a little differant than any I have seen before - what is the origin of that plant. Is it Australia?

Harry
