Cymbidium Dancing Mother Kotone
First time this is blooming for me. With eleven spikes and over two hundred blooms and buds, it puts on quite a nice little show. The flowers, individually, are not large. But they are nicely fragrant of apricots early in the morning. And with Cymbidium madidum and devonianum in its background, this plant is wonderfully adaptable, dealing equally well with hot and humid summers, and chilly winters.

Sherry, it stays outside between mid May and late October, and then spends the winter in a south-facing sunroom. It gets full sun only in the early morning hours during the time when it's outside. In the winter I try to give it as much direct sunshine as nature will allow. If you're interested in the plant, contact Jim Rose at CalOrchid (California). He might have a few of them left.
