Those are beautiful! I love cymbidiums. If I lived in a climate where they could stay outside in winter, or if I had a greenhouse or other indoor space where they could come inside, I would be growing them. In the meantime, I enjoy them vicariously through generous CN members who share their photos!

My Cymbidiums are later than all of yours although that’s probably because they were severely neglected for over a year when the house was getting remodeled, I’m talking like 2 weeks without water during the peak of summer, still alive though and one even has a spike.

Temperature is another factor... the Bay Area has received some significant cold. (And last summer was rather cool as I recall, so the fall warm days/night chill may be been a bit later too) Mine are running a little bit late but not as much.

They beautiful, I have not touch upon Cymbidium until last year. The only Cym I have right now are burned Cyms my relative handed over to me. They are growing but they are heavily setback, my aim to have them back to health as your.

When the climate is ideal (as it is in coastal California pretty much from the Mexican border to San Francisco) the only downside to Cyms is space. They do GROW!
