Cymbidium inner leaf turning brown

The center leaf on this baby cymbidium is turning yellow. I’ve never seen this before, any thoughts as to why?

Could be the beginning of rot. Gently tug on it. If it comes out and the base is brown try to get as much air to it as possible and treat with benomyl powder. If it does not come out, just open the leaves and keep aired out. I often just pull it out to be sure.

The plant is very dark green. Is it getting enough light?

Thanks for the suggestion. It is now solid brown, and very firmly attached. None of the other leaves has changed at all, and the bulb is just as firm as the others. I’m going to wait and see if this happens to the next bulb, maybe it’s just a symptom of becoming a back bulb.

Yes, the plant is very dark green. It is currently growing in a north facing window (the second brightest spot in my apartment), until I can get it accustomed to the direct morning light in my east facing window.
