lifespan of cymbidium pollinia?

Does anyone know how long cymbidium pollinia stays viable after it's removed from a flower? Can it be stored in any way (refrigerator?) to prolong its "shelf life?"

I have heard anything from 6-12 months, when stored in a refrigerator.

There are many different approaches to storing pollen. Some use tissue paper, and then a paper envelope.

I use small zip-lock plastic bags, and refrigerate the bag immediately.

Freeze in small, hand folded paper envelopes, obviously labeled with name and date. I have had it last up to 2 years when treated this way.
