If this ever gets anywhere near to be that much trouble, it will be hauled out to the end of my driveway with a "free to good home" note attached to it.
When I repotted it in the spring, the inside of the pot was probably something like 80 to 90% roots, with very little observable potting material. I don't know what the plant did with the bark, but I wouldn't be surprised if it somehow figured out a way to devour it.
