A couple of weeks ago, a local flower shop owner was clearing out her inventory, and I, who was somewhat well acquainted with that old lady, managed to get one of the "Fancy variety Cyms" for a rather cheap sum of money. This is Cymbidium goeringii 'Yu Hu Die (Master Yu's Butterfly)', one of the famous double-flowered mutant variety of goeringii. The flowers were well past their peak as I purchased this one, and I cut them off after repotting it in a semi hydro setting.

Looks quite crazy, isn't it?
Some people might hate these kind of weirdo varieties, but I find them very intriguing, and there are many people who seeks these unusual forms--that's why double flowered varieties command rather hefty sums of money when well grown.

Luckily I got it cheap.

Ray has discussed it here. Use Advanced Search and input Cymbidium and his username.

This is Chinese Cymbidium goeringii "Yu Hu Die" 中国春蘭「余胡蝶]. The Japanese reading for this variety is Yokochou. This is a classical/tradtional Chinese peloric flowers forms. I see that you are from Korea, so it should be easy for you to get. This variety should have a silvery tone to its leaves as there are many fake varieties out there labelling as Yu Hu Die but it's not. The flowers look too big for this variety and has too many flowers. Please check the leaves, the leaves should have a silvery tone to it. For American Shows, Tenshin or Chinghua from Taiwan should be able to get them, not very hard to get.
