1st year with them! cymbidium
Hi all,
This is my 1st year, winter included with this babies... It is almost spring here around 60° minimum at night and 70 and more during the day. I've been taking care of them and they have 2-3 new growth each. Should I take them out already?
Any advice ?

With you climate, I don't understand why you have them indoors.
Yes. Leave them out all year.

Cyms (if they get a chance to acclimate, which will happen if you just leave them out) can do fine down to freezing (0 deg C, 32 deg F), can tolerate even a little lower for a few hours though they might get bud damage. They need high light (again, since they were inside, move them to strong light over a period of several weeks to give them a chance to adjust) Summer, just provide a little shade, high ambient temperatures are not a problem (like 40 deg C/104 deg F). To bloom, most of them need a sharp temperature drop in the fall (cool nights/warm days in September/October are ideal)

The truth is that they were inside a porch, and since they lost the flowers I repotted them, I separated some and left them inside on that same porch because my garden in winter is not very protected from the wind and we have had some strong hailstorms.
Also, some of the plants in the garden have spider mites and I am terrified that the orchids will be infected by hard-to-handle ones.
Anyway, I didn't feel comfortable taking them outside.
Oh well!!! having clarified these points ... I am going to take them out. Thanks

As long as they don't get any frost (which might be difficult in Palma), they'll be ok and will bloom better.

mallorca is lovely but I could never get used to the grass there, it was too thick and waxy, not like the soft thin grass I'm used to. I hated walking barefoot on your grass
I was going to say the main reason I don't keep my orchids outside is because they get overwatered by rain, they get knocked over by the wind, the get attacked by Insects so they can't go outside without a greenhouse

Jajajajaja the grass here indeed is thick but you should be walking on the beach not on the grass.
