Potting mix

Okay, well I ordered 5 Cymbidiums from Orchid People of Hawaii, so I'm going to try a variety of mixes and see what works best for me. I'm even going to try the cow patty method on one of them. My dad is going to think I've lost my damn mind, but I think he already knows that about me, so I won't hear too much about it haha.

OK you guys.......stop me if I've already told this story.
There is a member of NHOS whose name is Jerry Kessler who has exactly 1 orchid and it's Cybidium Kessander.
He moves it in a horse trailer.

It certainly is gigantic, and that is pretty cool, and it's lovely, but honestly it doesn't do much for me. I would stop and look at it and say, "hey, that's huge and cool!" and then I would forget about it ten minutes later. But it really is an impressive plant.
