Hats off to the previous owner of this orchid. Definitely and obviously a Cymbidium growing expert.
I may never get this orchid (or my other 'standard' cymbidiums) to put out flower spikes due to my very tropical climate.
But will see what happens! I'll just grow this one and others like regular house plants, and give lots of sun.
Some bulbs of this plant here are quite large too. Previously growing in bark or bark/scoria mix when it arrived in the post. Now potted in scoria.
I've only seen photos of the flowers of this cultivar. It can get a nice colour - quite beautiful flowers! The cultivar is a really nice aussie hybridising accomplishment.
Also - with some luck - or maybe even some brute force strategies - I may in the future be able to post photos of flowers from this plant here. Fingers and toes crossed!
