Finally have a Cymbidium in bloom and it's a corker!!!!!
Cym. finlaysonianum purchased one year ago at Redland as a pre-order from the Philippines. Super robust plant but as far as I can tell, this is first bloom.
I noticed the inflorescence starting a little over a week ago when it was about 5-6 inches. Measured this morning at 42" but I can tell from my picture it has added a couple inches just this afternoon since I put together this "innovative" set-up just to be able to get a picture of it.
When I set this up it was 2-3 inches off the chair seat. Not anymore! 28 flowers and 4 buds still to open on the bottom.
Anyone that is growing in a warm- hot area and wants a great Cym., this is the one you have been looking for!!!!
