Default Cym. finlaysonianum- FINALLY Success!

Finally have a Cymbidium in bloom and it's a corker!!!!!
Cym. finlaysonianum purchased one year ago at Redland as a pre-order from the Philippines. Super robust plant but as far as I can tell, this is first bloom.
I noticed the inflorescence starting a little over a week ago when it was about 5-6 inches. Measured this morning at 42" but I can tell from my picture it has added a couple inches just this afternoon since I put together this "innovative" set-up just to be able to get a picture of it. When I set this up it was 2-3 inches off the chair seat. Not anymore! 28 flowers and 4 buds still to open on the bottom.
Anyone that is growing in a warm- hot area and wants a great Cym., this is the one you have been looking for!!!!

Did that link really transfer OUT of english?

Oh well, that was a cut and paste from Redland vendor list.
Probably just Google it or try Facebook maybe.

This is not a plant I would recommend for any but the species nuts. It develops to a huge plant and takes up more room than your normal washing machine! The spikes average 5'-6' feet in length with muddy yellow-beige flowers often spaced 4" apart. It wants warm temperatures and bright light. I can think of a lot of other far more rewarding orchids which would fill the space taken by this monster. Just my opinion.

What other Cymbidiums would you recommend for where I grow?
