I think they meant to put a black "frame" around the pic to make it landscape. Sort of like when you watch an old movie on a widescreen tv and it has the two black "wings" on the ends to fill the the required space.

Cheers.
Jim

Nikon D80 on auto mode and either my 18-55 or 70-200 zoom lens (don't remember which off the top of my head as I used both). I do remember having to stand in a stream and half-lay sideways, half-crouch on the stream bank while some of the roots from that tree where jabbing me in the ribs. Not sure if I created a new yoga position or a new form of torture with that position. But I was really amazed at how well it came out considering what I had to go through to take it. Basically, God was good to me and I got lucky.

Cheers.
Jim

Hi Jim

My thoughts on the uncropped pic was with the idea you might or Marty might crop it to landscape if the image was large enough. Good luck with it. Its a great shot

You are very fortunate! I always look forward to your pics from some "undisclosed location". They are on my life-list to see some time.

Cheers.

That will be up to Marty. He has to go through all the entries and make sure they will make the cut. (size, focus, format, etc.. then make the poll, plus he does this on his spare time. He's a busy guy.
