I started out with two lady slippers, one white phal, and some dendrobiums. then the collection quickly grew to over 100.
I got rid of quite a few before moving in the spring. then I bought some more, so I'm still around 100 or so.

I would love to get rid of some more to make space and cut down on time spent on taking care of them, but it's so hard which one to let go.

My addiction started when I bought a paph in bloom and expected it to die. When it didn't die, I kept watering it. A year later it rebloomed. Now I have 37 orchids. 8 are species. 3 are outdoors on my drip system where there is room for more temperature tolerant ones.
Agree, it's hard to part with them.

without ID, i would say around 90, (some phals, and a bunch of plants that i know the genus but not the species) .

As of today I have over 100, about 1/3 of them are noid,but I'm still looking to make room for a few more

As of today I have 49 (if you count compots as one). I was down to around 3O but Ebay Auctions are so darn fun.
