The person this is for will know who I'm addressing here:
What an unsportsman-like thing to do!
To have votes padded by people who have never been to this site except to vote is uncouth...I'm very disappointed
Your photo should be removed from the contest.

I'm forced to strip out all of the unregistered guest votes. We had someone lobbying for sympathy votes on another forum to gain an edge. The new count will only reflect votes by signed in members. Apologies to those that lost legitimate guest votes. Big thanks to those who've been tracking the voting.

I wondered about that Any chance Marty could handle this situation? Last night there were about 4 consistently in the lead with one way in the lead. Now from behind a different one shoots way into the lead. Hmmm.

Wow, that's pretty lame! I think the picture in question should be DQed. JMO

An idealist might expect that the best pictures would wind up on the calendar. A realist might expect that the process would be corrupted by the self-serving and the unethical.
At this point I would love to see which pictures Marty and his administrators would choose. The objective is to produce the finest product. There should be no other considerations.
I can only imagine what the ethically challenged might resort to. Registering only for the sake of influencing the outcome. Perhaps voting for lesser quality photos as a form of sabotage. Turning the poll into a popularity contest. From what I've seen on other forums I can rather quickly arrive at a list of prime suspects!
To those of you who honestly and objectively chose the best shots, nice to share this space with you. To those who didn't, a curse upon your house!
Selective regards,
Rick

I voted for four of the photos I enjoyed most. It doesn't matter which one wins...they're all beautiful. What matters is that the winner is chosen in a fair manner.
We pride ourselves here on being fair and friendly...this act was not either one of those things...It's just sad.
PS - No curses on anyone's house!

I voted for 12, one for each month. I'm glad that the deception was uncovered.

Sad, indeed.
I look forward to this year's calendar - all photographs considered and by majority, the ones selected will prove a beautiful display of those people's hard work and effort, photographic passion and extraordinary love of orchids.
Good luck everyone
