Awww, mine doesn't either. I think of my chids and can't wait to get home everyday to see them. I am at work right now and my boss just passed by looking at my monitor wondering why I have this colorful thing on my screen with all these smileys on the right side. I'm gonna get fired!!

I started out the same way with plumerias I have over 50 of them but I have given them pretty much up due to all the space they take up during the winter. Orchids last longer and take up less space. Well at least right now they do.

No rehabs. There seems to be no 12-step program for orchid growers. Someone tried to start one once, but nobody would join it.

That's a lot of cymbidiums Des! It must take forever to water everyone. My collection of 35 is wimpy looking next to that, and I'm already finding that many to be a handful to deal with. But I'll never never go into orchid rehab, even if it existed. Who would want to be cured of the need to constantly get new orchids??

Camile it is all watered automatically using hydroponics and all the plants either stand in a saucer of water or have an internal reservoir. All in all I have something like 2000 orchids and I would not have the time for anything, if it were not for my hydroponic systems .
I will be visiting my daughter in Perth soon so the automatic systems had better not fail me!!!

I just went and had a count and I have 310 a lot more than I thought, I did not include 3 flasks.

Hi Everyone to my surprise I just counted 54 orchids with 7 more on the way
That is just one orchidarium and one shelving unit in a corner of the dining room its getting a bit crowed in here but I am loving every minute of it.

I started our collection in May, Mother's Day, and it has VERY RAPIDLY grown. It now stands at 134 with a few more on the way.
