Well, I've voted and it was difficult, especially trying not to pick all the Paphs! I tried to choose a selection of species and as many colours as possible. I also prefer the flower to fill the frame in most of my selections, and I like "weird " flowers too.

Okay....my vote's in. I think I must be too critical, 'cuz I only got 11 definites on the first run through. I had to go back and loosen up my standards. I think it has something to do my species preference. I seem to only like the hybrid pics if they really jump out at me. I try to stay fair though, so if it has good composition, I'll put it on the list. What can I say, I'm a species man!

I am tracking the changing results each day - it is really interesting seeing how the positions change. Does anyone know how many people voted last year?

i havent voted yet, but this is what i am looking for...

good lighting and composition are a really big factor for me. having nice lines and not being over busy is also important. we dont have to worry about clarity much, because of marty but the way the clarity is used in an artistic fashion is important ( i.e. selective focusing ) and wow factor, thats about it!

by the way, all the pics are so great this year!
