Well I misread the part about NOIDS not being allowed (they're not orchids??) unlike last year, so now I'm hesistating between 2 photos since the other 2 are noids. Hey we got until the 15th to decide, so I'm taking my time! :)

This is my first post, just to let people know what I submitted to the contest, one lovely Vanda hybrid from the warm and wounderful island of Borneo were I had my vaccation this spring.

the picture just has that blue question mark. and i believe they have to have names

Because we can't use noids I'm a bit strapped for flowering orchids to use. I'm anxiously waiting for blooms to open on several orchids, a couple of dens, a potinara and a couple of phals. They are all named so I'm hoping to get a good shot of one of them.
A question Marty :waving I'm by no mean a photographer! LOL If I send in an entry and it doesn't meet the standard eg high resolution (whatever that is! :() Is it possible to let me know so that I can submit another photo? Marion :) |

I submitted the photo that I chose as a profile picture- I'm glad that I had it already because not many of my plants are in bloom right now (and half of those are NOIDs)!

Just sent mine.

Well, I finally made up my mind and submitted a photo of my Den aphyllum. Only 1 bloom, but I thought that I had captured the details (like the fuzzy lip) pretty well. A shame that I couldn't enter any of my favorite photos, they were either Noids or portait shots.
