Oh what a shame Dave, I voted for yours I thought it would be nice to have something completely different to the other pics.

I love your pic too Dorothy, and noticed it was missing from the voting. I wonder what was wrong, maybe the wrong size or something.

My photo was slightly out of focus and it did have a distracting background ... I'll have to find better for next year

I've just had a look through at the ones I make out are the winners and they are gorgeous

... but then so are all the rest, it was such a hard choice!

Not all the ones I voted for have made it... but I love the ones that have.

It's going to be a fantastic calendar

I don't really use calendars at home but I'm going to buy one anyway and find somewhere to put it just so I can enjoy the pics. And hmm... I'm sure some of my family would like one for Christmas

My jaw dropped when I saw my picture amongst all of these other gorgeous pictures. I am thrilled that 14 people other then me voted for it.

I will be better prepared for next year.

(not sure if this is the appropriate place

) But photo #3 looks alot (well, it looks exactly) like one of my cattleya's which I haven't ID'd! Could anyone tell me the name of this plant?? Thanks!

It looks like C. loddigesii var alba. I almost entered a near identical photo:

Thanks for the reply! Your cattl. is really beautiful! It looks a bit different from mine though: the lip is definatly not the same. The petals on mine are a bit more crumpled by the edges but looks the same for the most part. I do think it's a hybrid.. Here's a pic:

I'm afraid my count agreed with Dave that he is at 14.

I can see 14 pics which got over 100 votes each, and unfortunately the ghost is the lowest of those.
