I haven't yet met a Dendrobium that I didn't like.

At the moment my faviourite is the Oncidium Alliance - mostly because they smell so good, and I love the shapes a colours. But also because they are starting to grow, so I'm feel pretty chuffed with myself!

Vandas are my Orchid obsession - and I am enjoying every minute of it

If only it was easier to order them from the States.

Disas.

Showy flowers (for the most part).

Fast growing.

Has a handful of species in which the seeds don't require sowing in-vitro.

Low maintenance.

I can grow them outdoors all year round.

Multiplies like a rabbit.

Joy!

After seeing a Disa in person on Saturday I really fell in love with them. Do you find them easy to grow Philip, I had understood they were difficult.

Rosie, this is a link to one of the best growers of Disas in the uk - you will find him very helpful, and his stand at the RHS show last year was amazing

Dave Parkinson Plants - How to Grow Disas

You need a good supplyof rainwater from what I recall and under cover in our winters

Good luck

I still can not answer this question. All I can say is that the Asparagales in general contain most of my favourite flowering plants.
As for "Favourite Orchid Group?".... Let me get back to you on that... It may take a while.... Say 4 or 5 decades, maybe more.

Sorry
