I submitted Photo #26 Cochleanthes Amazing - it was one of the only photos I had that came close to the resolution requirements - I wanted to submit something different and something for all the Cochlie lovers out there
I am surprised it made the final cut as a calendar candidate and am very happy with the 52 votes it got (It's 51 more votes than I thought it would ever get)

Thank You! It barely made it, the flower opened the day before the deadline! The second one just opened today. I actually had to coax that flower open for the picture...I ended up breaking a petal by the time all was said and done ....but I got the shot first. So I can't really say "No 'chids were hurt in the filming of this calendar!" Oh well, it became a pollen donor for a cross I made....so it wasn't all for nothing. Thanks to all who voted for me!

I was rather surprised by some of the ones that didn't get more votes than they did. Like the Stanhopea up close and personal -- #39. I liked the different/nonstandard view. Made for something a bit different
