Fresh made margaritas
My 1st time in this thread specifically, after some experimentation, felt this was the best ration of ingredients:
1 part simple syrup
2 parts fresh squeezed lime juice
2 parts tequila
Splash of orange liqueur
Ice

Ripe limes obviate the need for sugar, but are seldom available in the US. Many prefer a less sweet drink, anyway.
Use Cointreau rather than something inferior. Grand Marnier is brandy-based, and not for Margaritas.
For a delicious variant, substitute Damianita liquer in place of Cointreau.

But Grand Marnier is GREAT in margaritas. Not bad on vanilla ice cream, either.

De gustibus non disputandum est. Damianita also has an amazing bottle.
