Recipe Project #2
Anybody ready for another one?
This time, anyone that wants to can submit a recipe (name and description), and we will choose one with a poll. Once one is chosen, the full recipe will be sent out.
I'm so glad that the cookies were a success! It was fun seeing how people did, and hearing everyone's ideas for variations and improvement. I think this is a great way to learn for everyone.
What do you think of doing a bread this time? Seems like a good way to welcome in Fall!

I'm not too good at bread, the only ones I've made have been packet mixes. But I'll give it a go!

I've only ever made one loaf that wasn't just in the breadmaker, and it went well. But I'd love to learn tips and tricks, which is part of why I thought it would be fun. I bet there are some old hands out there, besides us newbies.

Ah, that's a popular one, Dave! Yummmm.
Hopefully I'll get some more replies, and we'll see.

I did just post a pie recipe, but that was more related to my excitement than a project, but people are welcome and encouraged to try it! (see other thread)

I like to make bread. We have a favourite one that's a bit different. I adapted it from an Artisan Bread recipe on the King Arthur Flour site. I call mine Pat's Artisan Cheese and Olive Bread. It has parmesan, asaiago and/or romano cheese, sliced black olives and some seasonings. It is left overnight in a clay baker (or heavy ovenproof pot) and then baked next morning. It is great toasted with butter as warming it seems to enhance the flavours. A very satisfying bread!

I also make a raisin bread that has sugar and cinnamon rolled into the centre of the loaf! I have a little nephew who is sick with cancer and sometimes that is one thing that he will eat, is toast made from this cinnamon bread. He is a fighter and doing well and we hope for a recovery.

Silken, both of those sound delicious!
Toast with cinnamon on it has always helped me when my stomach was touchy, I'm glad that your nephew has something tasty to eat!
Come on people, we need more recipes so I have enough for a poll!
