Baked good Member Project?

So I got this idea after posting about muffins on the board's facebook page.

If I posted one of my favorite recipes, would any people be interested in making it, and we could compare results?
I know I have to adjust things because I live at a high altitude, it would be interesting to see how other people fare as well.

The recipe I'm thinking of is one of my favorite cookies- Oatmeal-macadamia-craisin-white chocolate chip.
Delicious melt in your mouth goodness!


Or we could do it even more like a Member Project, and everyone submit a recipe that we will vote on. I just wanted to limit it to baked goods because in my experience, they seem to vary the most according to where you live. And....I like them a lot.

Okay! We're starting with a cookie recipe. Next project, we'll all be submitting recipes and voting.
This Project's Recipe:
Oatmeal Macadamia Nut Craisin White Chocolate Chip Cookies

INGREDIENTS:

2/3 cup butter or margarine, softened (or crisco)
2/3 cup brown sugar (or "brown" Splenda, if available. I've done half brown sugar, half white Splenda)
2 large eggs
1 1/2 cups rolled oats
1 1/2 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 6-ounce package Ocean Spray® Craisins® Original Dried Cranberries
2/3 cup white chocolate chunks or chips
(A la Izzie:
1/3-1/2 cup macadamia nuts, coarsely chopped. May substitute almonds.
Cinnamon, cardamom, and/or nutmeg per taste.)

DIRECTIONS:

Preheat oven to 375ºF.

Beat butter or margarine and sugar together in a medium mixing bowl until light and fluffy. Add eggs, mixing well. Combine oats, flour, baking soda, salt, and spices in a separate mixing bowl. Add to butter mixture in several additions, mixing well after each addition. Stir in craisins, white chocolate chips, and nuts.

Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheets. (A la Izzie: Use baking stones, and lightly squish with greased cup dipped in sugar) Bake for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown. Cool on wire rack.

Makes approximately 2 1/2 dozen cookies.


This was originally off of the Craisin package, but I've adapted it to my taste. I'd love to know what you guys think of them! They've been a hit with my crowd for a few years now.
