Default Single estate pure Sri Lankan Black Tea

I don't drink pop or coffee, but I must have several cups of good tea every day or I can't function. Any of you have addictions to fine loose teas ?

I just ordered 10 lbs of various top grade Sri Lankan teas (some for gifts).

I go for the expensive fancy green teas too, but for every day I stick to the single estate pure Sri Lanka black teas. I've searched far and wide for a good source of tea and so far my top pick for quality and price has to be www.Kardoztea.com Kuma is one of the owners and for generations his family owned tea estates. He lives in the US and is heavily connected to the tea cartel in SL so he can get you some really good stuff.

They're based in CT-USA and import from Sri Lanka. The best part is that you can get 1lb of top notch tea for about $5-6 No fancy packaging, just great tea in silver foil.

One of my favourites is the tea from the Kenilworth estate, esp this one

Winner of the 2003 & 2004 best Sri Lankan tea. Considering that Sri Lanka grows the best black teas in the world this tea is right up there.

if you get your teas from a paper sachet on a string - consider changing and try some of the best black teas the world has to offer. Typically the tea bags contain the lowest grade teas with all kinds of teas mixed together.

I don't drink tea unless it's herb tea. I like fine coffee. Let's get a thread going on coffee. Got friends who roast their own beans. Thread hijack!

I'd be roasting beans for sure, if I liked coffee. I love the smell of coffee, but tea does it for me. I drink a cup of coffee and it works on me as if I ate 2lbs of fiber I then drink some good tea and all is well

I do like iced latte with sugar free hazelnut, whip cream and chocolate and Cinnamon on top from starbucks... Also I am known in Italian circles as the champion cappuccino maker

I love perfumes that have tea as a scent. My favorite oddly, is called "Orchid Tea". It's so lovely! I've bought it for gifts for orchid pals, but so far it's fallen thru... maybe I should think up a contest to win them LOL. OR maybe I should just use it more often and enjoy the gift ones myself :c)
Since I love growing things, I bought some coffee tree seeds online. I planted 3 of them but they molded rather than grew :c( I would have loved to grow a coffee tree plant. Oh, I bought a sick one from a nursery once too, but it got worse and worse looking until I threw it away.
Wish I could get into tea. I buy tea in neat flavors, then it just sits around getting horrifyingly old. You would probably DIE if I served you tea LOL. Or coffee for that matter hahahaha!!!
Oh, one of my other favorite scents to smell like is vanilla stuff. I was THRILLED to know that vanilla came from an orchid! I bought a tiny vine on Ebay, planted in spagh, but the spagh didn't dry quickly enough for my chilly house in winter and it rotted and died :c( I plan to get another one someday. Soon.....

Marty , I must agree with you , the best tasting tea is Sri-Lankan , a mates father was a pilot for the national airline there , and often bought over a little tea chest with loose black tea mmmmm heavenly .
There is tea grown around here , but its not that great , Nerada plantation closed down and Daintree Tea is just so so.
