Take ripe or dried figs. Slit open and stuff with a piece of walnut. Drizzle with a tiny bit of honey and sprinkle chopped fresh basil over them.
That sounds soooo good, Will make some of these when my fig tree does its thing next summer! That little bit of savory from the basil to accent the sweetness of the other flavors is very intriguing,
None of the topics today got me to read except this one! A delicious way for me to get more nuts in my diet but think I'll need much self control. Yum.

Got some more figs ready for picking tomorrow - I'm gonna give this a try!
I forgot last week and just ate them straight off the tree (only 2 of them ).
My tree is starting to produce a few... most will be July-ish. But I am ready to try this just as soon as I get any (before the birds and green beetles do...)
