Taipan,
Tonight I should imagine we will go down to about 7C or less but hopefully the sun will shine tomorrow and the day will go to about 22C. Definitely not as hot as Thailand!

Pheli, nice photo. I have never flowered my Coelogyne viscosa/gramnifolia so I do not know what it should look like. Your picture reminds me of my Coelogyne trinervis.

I love this one, pheli! 
I got one recently that is mounted and it has started blooming for me! 
The odd thing is that it is blooming from the two bulbs on the sides of the mount and the blooms are facing backwards!  Each side has 4 blooms, I think |

Hi Mike, the blooms of Coelogyne trinervis really resemble those of C. gramnifolia. I don’t have C. trinervis. But after google searching, I found that C. trinervis has ovate folding leaves while C. gramnifolia has elongate, cym-like leaves. This is the main difference between the plants of this two species.

Congratulations, Sue. Your plant is well grown and has four blooms on each spike. Mine usually has three ones on a spike.

Thanks Pheli. The plants certainly do look different but as I have never flowered my Coelogyne gramnifolia I cannot tell you how the flowers differ. I will have to look at Clayton's book on coelogynes to see what he has to say on the subject. |

My apologies, pheli...
I looked at mine again today and it has one spike with 3 blooms and the other side has two spikes with two blooms each.
None of the spikes have 4 by themselves. |
