Can someone please tell me the type of Coelogyne this is. Cool or warm growing? Flowers are fragrant

Ironically, this post is somewhat confusing.

Please clarify what you mean. Is there a Coelogyne hybrid that goes by the name Coelogyne Confusion?

If this is not what you're talking about, then what is the name of the Coelogyne in question? Should it be a species, please type the first letter of the genus name with a capital letter and the first letter of the species name with a lower case letter. If you're referring to a hybrid, please write the first letter of the genus, grex, and cultivar names in capital letters.

Do you also have a photo of the plant with flowers?

Sorry I realize my first post was very confusing. The orchid came with the name Chelonistele lurida. But after doing further research I'm wondering if it is actually a Coelogyne. And what the care and culture would be

Do you have a closeup photo of the flowers?

From a distance, the flowers make it look as if it is a Chelonistele, (which is a part of the Coelogyninae Subtribe).

If the photos on the IOSPE are correct, your plant may actually be Chelonistele sulphurea, not Chelonistele lurida, (provided they're not synonyms for each other).

I think the best way to separate Coelogyne and Chelonistele are from the petals. Not 100% sure on this, but Chelonistele seem to be grouped together based on the characteristic of having very narrow petals that curl backwards.

From what I'm seeing, one of the ways to tell the difference between Chelonistele sulphurea and Chelonistele lurida are from the horned appendages on either side of the lip. Chelonistele sulphurea appear to have horns that curve down. Chelonistele lurida appear to have horns that look like they curve upwards.

Again, if the IOSPE is correct, then both species are fairly temperature tolerant.

Looks like what the IOSPE describes as Chelonistele sulphurea.

Cool - intermediate.

Moderately bright indirect light.

During the warm months water heavier than you would during the cooler months.

If you're using moss as a potting media, allow it to dry to dampness before watering again. (I'd use a net pot with moss as a potting media.)

If you're using bark as a medium, then you may have to water a bit more often during the warmer months.

Moderate humidity is fine.

Note: Do not give them a hard winter rest. They don't like to dry out completely for extended periods of time.

Thank you for all the info! Discovering orchid board has changed my "orchid growing life". This particular orchid is fast becoming one of my top ten favorites. To me the scent is earl grey tea mixed with maybe vanilla or something else.... Hoping I will be able to get it to grow and bloom for many years to come.
