Hmmm this seems more conclusive, I definitely think it's pallens.
First of all, looking at last year's flower the signs for the colourless centre of the lip and hairs on the side of the lip are there, so that's a big plus. Also, pallens is more of a winter/early spring bloomer.
And more importantly I would think is the shape and simply the size of the plant...fimbriata has 2-4 cm high pseudobulbs most of the time, while this plant seems to be on the 10+cm side of things, no?
I agree with the variations, but I'm basing my knowledge on "Les Coelogynes" by Elisabeth & Jean-Claude George (yes it's in French, I'm sorry
) and I can honestly say their work is very exhaustive on the genus and they always seem to be spot on when it comes to small differences.
But then again, it doesn't matter that much of course; you have a lovely, healthy plant and beautiful flowers!
