Well dammit I don't understand the notion of holding back once I've got my mind set on something...
I've managed to add 3 Coelogynes to my collection since my last post: C. rochussenii, C. parishii (very happy I found this one!) and C. cristata var. hololeuca.
The last two I got on eBay for about 15€ each, which I consider a bargain in the case of the C. parishii. C. rochussenii I got from a local vendor.
As for the Coelogyne vendors, I try and keep it inside the EU. Limited shipping duration and no import/export administration required.
I suggest you take a look at schwerter orchideenzucht, I've ordered from them before and the size and quality of their plants are more than reasonable for the prices they offer them at.
But the Coelogyne heavyweight is Orchids & More in Germany for me. He has an awesome range of Coelogynes, some of them are young plants so I'm staying away from those, but plenty more to go for there!
A friend of mine visits his greenhouse once or twice a year and plant quality is beyond reproach!
If you're interested, here's what I still plan on acquiring this year:
C. brachyptera
C. occultata
C. pandurata
C. schilleriana
C. editiense (I'm not sure what it is exactly, but it looks like C. aff confusa. Definitely something I don't own yet)
C. eberhardtii
C. nitida
C. taronensis
C. bilamellata
C. celebensis
C. prolifera
C. swaniana
C. assamica
I'm not saying I will actually manage to obtain all of them, but I'll try not going for anything else in order to have as many as I can...finances permitting of course
