Default Coelogyne mooreana rest period

How dry should I let the plant get during rest? I have read no water for 3 months to water once a month.
Can someone with experience please help?
Thanks
Andrew

This is endemic to Vietnam....winter is the brightest in its habitat since spring to fall this is blanketed with heavy clouds in the environment....
summer is the monsoon rains that flood this plant....no water for 3 months is really drastic since the morning dew gives it some moisture in its habitat....the coldest that this can tolerate is low 50's and they can have bright direct light to almost burning the leaves in winter but the n again low 50's will not really burn.
So, abiding by the characteristics of its environment=I am a windowsill grower so I give it supplement light in dark winters on the south facing window...I water this every other day in the warmer months and in winter I water it on the sink every 10 days but I spritz it lightly every morning if the bulbs shrivel. But this have plump bulbs to store food so I am not really afraid to give it proper winter rest.

* in conclusion: low 50's temps and bright light in winter and water it every 10 days starting December 15th to Valentines day....and hold the fertilizer.

Thanks Bud
As per usual, very useful information. I will give that a go. I just ordered this. Had grown it in the past but it didn't flower well. Probably because of the drastic hold back on watering.

You are right, Andrew....you need to give it proper winter rest but not that drastic ....the plant needs enough energy to produce blooms so the bulbs must be really plump in the growth season; yet not too dry and shriveled in the rest.
