I have only had it like 6 months.

Cristata would do well in a cool climate.
Colorado has low humidity, so even in the summer, as long as you avoid strong light, the plant won't feel too hot. Also, the great thing about the mountain area is that the night temp drops a lot even in the summer, so that is really nice for the plant.

I'm an indoor grower. I'm sure plants will love higher humidity but they are tough. I feel bad but there's nothing I can really do about it.
Light- high light. The grower told me they grow this with cattleyas and cattleyas take a lot of light.
So very bright light.
Temperature- regular temperature like other generally grown orchids. not too hot, not too cold. When I'm comfortable in the apartment, my plants should be the same. That is an easy to remember general rule.
This plant has tons of roots, kind of like oncidiums.
Pot dries out fast and I dunk the whole thing a few times a week during summer. idea is to keep the plant drink up and then let it drain and dry out just slightly before watering again. They need a lot of water while developing new growths and those big fat pseudobulbs.
