Such a nice pleione! I can't believe that it bloomed in your garage, in the dark. It just goes to show how tough orchids can be, and bloom even in the most impossible conditions.

Thanks Camille and RJ. I really am enjoying Pleiones. I am not having as much luck with Pleione confusa bulbs this year, but hopefully next year they will give me blooms.

That is neat! I would love to see those in their natural habitat.
Anyway that bloom withered away but I got few more blooms to enjoy

Really lovely.
I think mine won't flower this year. It has 4 growths but all looking like leaves rather than flowers. It was left in the dark (completely dark) until last week and had started to grow quite big growths but I don't know if that dark stopped flowers developing.
Oh well, at least it's alive and I'll give it all the care I can to grow 4 new big strong bulbs and see if I can get flowers next year.
I think my other pleione's could be going the same way, but they are less clear so far if they will flower or not.

I got few formosana and confusa bulbs in another pot that aren't flowering this year. Not sure why as they were growing in same conditions. Maybe bulbs aren't mature enough.

I tried maculata but had no success. It didn't flower, and didn't grow the second year at all. No idea what I did wrong

I have been looking for one to purchase but no one I've contacted has one in stock
Please let me know if you found a vendor.
