I guess ill just apply base principals. FWIW, this is the plant, its in bloom. Interesting shape. Kind of like an oncidium standing on a long thing stem. That is new to me. Weird but cool. Supposedly this is a fragrant plant but i dont smell anything yet.
Would I be alone in thinking this should be repotted asap? The media looks kinda of stale and very wet.
Update: reading more I see some people saying "repot yearly" and others saying "repot as rarely as possible as it will set the plant back". Sigh. :-)

As has been said elsewhere, if you feel it needs repotting, do it. The plant will benefit from it in the long run, even if it gets a slow restart.
Edit to add: It is a lovely little thing.
