Default Dendrochilum formosum

This is a plant that I obtained from Wilbur Chang of Kaneohe, Hawaii. The plant is grown in a 3-1/2 inch plastic pot with New Zealand sphagnum moss as the media. This specie is not listed in OrchidWiz. The plant growth looks similar to Ddc. filiforme but the flowers are not like filiforme.

Do you have a close up of the flower picture?

Dendrochilum formosanum (Schltr.) Schltr was made a synonym of Dendrochilum uncatum var. uncatum Rchb.f. in 1995.

Hi Trey. Thank you for the information. I see now that the plant name was misspelled. As you pointed out, the correct name is Ddc. formosanum. The flowers do not have any noticeable fragrance.
