I hope someone finds some info for you.

thank you Tindomul1of9
Jay's orchid encyclopedy is also my enet bible... so I already searched it overthere...
I also searched under "sulawesensis" or "sulawesii"... as Sulawesi is the new name of the Celebes Islands these could have been synonyms... as I did for each of the different synonyms species mentioned by Jay'... no way... with... 0 result...
Another idea anyone ?

I found that it is, in fact, a described species, hailing from Celebes. Because Celebes was renamed to Sulawesi, the species name (specific epithet) would not change.

Coelogyne celebesensis was described in 1917 by J.J. Small. Here's the publication information:

Bull. Jard. Bot. Buitenz. Ser. II. xxv. 3

Default ...some more information

Hello Dracula I'm happy if I can help you. I found some information about C. celebensis in the book of Peter O'Byrne: A to Z of South East Asian Orchid Species. If you are interested, please send a PM, so I can send you a copy of that page to your email.

With kind regards

Alex
