Very nice looking flower! But --- following your hunch here --- I believe that this plant is not what the tag says it is.
On the other hand --- hard to say what happened. The supplier to the seller may have supplied the wrong clonelings.
Or - if repeated mericloning had occurred ---- and maybe the seller knows the source of this plant --- then mutation could have occurred. There are certainly cases of mutation. But - on the other hand - if you were looking to purchase the plant for the usual white feature and no purple, then we can definitely say that this plant is not (or no longer) like the original plant.
I was just participating in another thread on orchidboard yesterday - regarding grex ----- and I know that it's not unusual for some orchid labs from some places overseas to send out plants that aren't actually clones of the original plant. Or mutation occurred due to repeated mericloning etc.
I was participating in the 'what is a grex' thread within OrchidBoard yesterday, and gave examples of issues where the general public purchased plants that had a particular name on the tag, but the flowers on their purchased plant are too much unlike what the expected flower is supposed to look like (taking into considerations of variation due to culture) --- not just colour features, but also fringe pattern on the lips etc.
An example was this person (
here) mistakenly thinks their plant is what the tag says it is.
The actual plant's flower should look like this: (

And a different case where another person mistakenly thinks they have a particular plant - (

While the actual plant's flower should look like: (
