Default Sl. Sato

This little guy is finally fully opened. The color is very hard to catch w/o using flash...I apologize for the "creative" backgrounds...no black cloth in my camera bag.
Enjoy!
Adam

Wow beautiful color! I really like the even form of this one - how small is it?

I just had to find out it's lineage ...
Sophronitis Sato = Sophronitis cernua x Sophronitis Orpetii
Soph. Orpetii = Soph. pumila x Soph. coccinea
(Soph. pumila is syn to Laelia pumila .. so that is where the Sl. comes from .. )

The entire plant is about 4" tall; it is definately a mini. Unfortunately I had no luck getting it to bloom under lights when I grew that way...though in the GH it has bloomed faithfully every spring.

Nice! My size plant.

Seems like it is hard to find the truly minicatts offered. Can't remember the last time I saw one at a show.
