Beautiful color. By the pic you would think it was larger. My favorite has always been SLC Jewel Box "Scherazade"
But I may have second thoughts. Wondering about it's parentage? Very nice.

Why do you think this is, Adam? Temperatures? Amount of light? There needs to be a reason why it like the greenhouse more than lights (I think.) Just curious.

Ross:
I think it's two things: photoperiod and temperature.
Both this and my Soph. cernua grow like weeds all summer, then the leaves start to fully open about mid January...and usually in March I begin to see blooms. I think that these plants need a period of time with shorter days and cooler day/night temps to bloom well. This is another one that takes on a red tinge in the leaves due to all the sun that it gets. I am guessing that if I were better able to replicate the photoperiods in the house under lights, and give the plants a 20F temp drop every night I might have similar results... but that's just a guess.

Adam, I see that you have some plants from Ecuagenera. Did you pick them up at a show, or do they ship to the US?

Royal-
I ordered from Ecuagenera and had them bring the plants to a show--where I picked them up. The plus to doing this is the plants are the price on the web (plus $1 for transpot/documentation per plant), in lieu of the much kigher show price. For example, I paid about $60 for the 10 masdevallias that I pre-ordered...and then bought a Lepanthes for $35 from them at the show; had I pre-ordered it it would have probably only cost me about $16...
If they will be at a show in your area, pre-ordering is definately the way to go. I have been happy with my purchases in the past.
