The blooms are way smaller than I expected, but they still are very satisfying. No fragrance so far, but it might develope on later on.

Bloom size: 2 inches
Plant height:7 to 9 inches. It is a very vigorous grower with lots of new leads.

Season: Various

Fragrance: I heard it is fragrant, but I don't smell anything yet. It has taken my catts a week of being open to develop a fragrance, so we will see.

grown bare root with a micro fiber wick under led lights.

Whoa, two inches is definitely a bit small on this one! Could it just be getting used to the growing conditions? Can you explain bare root with micro fiber wick media?

It is in a tupperware container with a microfiber going into a water reservoir to provide moisture. I also use paper towells to provide more moisture also.

See the attached pics.

The plant had a very poor root system so I decided to get creative with inspiration from other growers.

Here are the pics. I have other plants in this set up and they have really good roots now after a few months of growth.

Here is a brassocattleya christina ricci and lc. cornelis x mini purple in the same type of set up. They like it but the wicks are getting some microbial colonies on them. There is definitely room for improvement on this system.

I forgot to mention that I hold the plants in place with twist ties, dowell rods and floral wire. The floral wire is rusting pretty badly but a bit of extra iron never hurt a plant as far as I know. I had my tetanus shot also so no worries

It looks like you are getting some new roots. The flower is very nice, even if it is small. I think that once it gets a decent root system, the flowers will be even better.

Ah, I see! This makes more sense. This looks like a pretty successful system for you.

You'll love the flowers once this plant gets a good root system. I think mine blooms 3 or 4x per year.

Thanks, I already love it because it bloomed with a weak root system. 3 or 4 times a year sounds amazing.
