it is near impossible, with my limited photography skills, to catch that blue color! but I am extremely happy with it, and of course the shape is so beautiful! I love the picotee edge of white on the lip!

I read an excellent article on "blue" cattleyas and how they are obviously not really blue, though some of them are definitely bluish (heck, even Vanda coerulea is not truly blue). Unfortunately, I can't find it atm.

I will add that purple and violet can be rather difficult to capture accurately in photography. Often the picture you take will lean either more towards the red or the blue aspect than the actual object of your photo.
