Do you have more photos of your DIY mounts? I'm curious how they are put together and how they look close-up. Does it allow you to water less often?

It is currently looks like this:
Yellow sponge like things are scour/scrub pads, so called zero-scratch scour pads actually. They are cut into slices about 3 cm wide and 6 cm long, and then glued inside the plastic mesh tube with instant non-toxic adhesives like super glue, with just enough spacing between them so that roots can go through it. And then I filled the tube with porous rocks (about 1 cm in diameter) and sealed it.
As you can see from the picture, the roots of the plant go through the mesh, grab holds on the scour pads, and then go through the spaces between the pads and into the lava rocks. Also, there are some live moss growing around the roots (I don't know where they came from) but it does not seem to do harms so I am leaving it be.
This is another similarly crafted mount.
As for the watering, well it does not appear to be more water-retentive than tree fern mounts, but it seems to be better than cork slabs though. However I just water it every morning during the summer, since the temperature in the day is very high and water rather evaporates very quickly.
