I sniped it out from under you I guess, because I ordered mine from Hausermann's the day after I saw it at the flower show in March!

Hausermann's is the only place I've ever seen 'Orange', and I really can't stress enough how delightful it is. None of the pictures capture the color well, as tends to be the case. In person, it's a rich, dusty orange color with a magenta margin on the lip. It also just grows and blooms like a weed. The blooms are about the same size as the other Jewel Box clones, but the plant is considerably smaller, so it's a good choice is space is a concern. I enthusiastically recommend it.

I remember seeing 'Scheherezade' at Paul Brecht Orchids in Costa Mesa, California in the late 1960s or 70s when I was around 12-13. It was one of the plants that made me want to grow orchids. I don't recall the price but do recall it was staggering.

I called Hausermann's on Wednesday the 17th. They said they wouldn't be able to ship this week because the weather changed. I asked about Jewel Box disappearing and reappearing on their Web site. They said they usually still have plants for sale, but they rotate what is shown on their Web site. So even if you don't see something on their Web site that was there before, call and ask. They sell the Slc. Jewel Box clones 'Dark Waters' AM/AOS and 'Orange' HCC/AOS.
