Default concerned about mounted epi

so back in late november i removed a kekki from a huge epi and i mounted it to a thick bamboo structure i made
i have been watering it every other day by soaking it in warm water for about a half hour
the roots turn green when wet so i suspect it's alive but i have noticed older leaves wrinkling and a black spot on the younger part of the cane
i am trying to upload pics
any help is appreciated

Late November in the northern hemisphere is not a good time to root cuttings. You'll have more success in spring after it's warmed up.

I'm guessing it's a reed-stem Epi?

How warm and humid is the growing area? How much light is it getting?

Small Epi plantlets dry out fast. Every other day might not be enough watering. And even small reed-stem Epis need more light than most other orchids.

i was concerned about both of those points. i'll soak daily and spritz roots
it is hard to give it light but i could stick it in front of the door where my cymbs and dend king are winterinh-my only concern is the chilly draft that comes in

My experience has been reed-stem Epis decline rapidly when light is insufficient.
