Default Procatavola *MINI*

Does anyone have a picture of a Procatavola?

I have such a plant in my collection with the name on it as Procatalova Honolulu and would like to see if it is correctly named. It is in flower now.

Marleneann.

I haven't seen this one but the parentage is as follows:

Ctyh Frances Dyer x BC Mrs. J.Leemann or

(c.bowringiana x psh fragans) x ( b.digbyana x c.dowiana)

the psh is prosthechea.....

an interesting hybrid...show us the picture!

Have not see or heard of this one before....Procatavola or Cattleychea. It has B. digbyana and C. dowiana in it - so I am naturally intrigued!

Let's see what it is all about Marleneann.

Here is a picture...compare the flower size to a plastic teaspoon.
What do you think?

The prosthechea (encyclia) parent has really dwarfed the plant! All of the other species in the background can get fairly large.
The genetic background is very interesting, and it looks like the yellow of BC.Mrs. J. Leemann has been overwhelmed by the Ctyh Frances Dwyer parent. Usually such a cross will intensify the purples to give very rich colors.
Thanks for showing us this one.
