Shirley, especially with Cattleyas round floral segments giving the flower certain fullness is something every orchid collector looks for. The idea behind the concept that rounder flowers are better than thinner ones was spread out by organizations like the AOS or RHS and their award system.
Kim, I'm with you, of course nature is not subject to the artificial rules invented by us. We should be able to see the beauty where it is, not only where others say it is !

It's healthier exercising our own opinions, isn't it Kiki? I, like you, do the same: if I think a flower beautiful, regardless of its fullness or other awardable qualities it will always have room in my grh!
