A nearby flower shop was clearing its inventories, and I spotted a pot of Enc. cordigera among the special deal, fire-sale corner.
It took a mere 15,000 KRW...or about 13 USD. What a deal!
It had two spikes, with one already shriveled up so I cut the spent inflorescence.
Impressive pseudobulb!
The bulbs are great, shiny and plump, with some minor scars but nothing serious.
As most of long neglected grocery store orchids, the roots were dried and looked like meh, but otherwise no sign of disease or insect infestation.
Now I have three cordigeras in my collection.
