I called Hausermann's to ask which of their plants in bud would look the best, and ship well for Mother's Day. I had my eye on C. Jose Martí 'Mother's Favorite', Lc. Ken Stromsland 'Eric' and L. purpurata v. werckhauserii 'Blue Sky'. George Hausermann said this would be the best bet: Laeliocattleya Irene Finney 'Spring's Best' AM/AOS.

It arrived at my mom's house yesterday. It is in an 8.5" / 21.5cm pot. It has 11 buds on 4 inflorescences.
