Ooo, I love it! How big is the plant? It looks like it might be a mini-catt?

That's what I was thinking-something in the aclandia-schilleriana size range. It is the hybred between the two (I had to look it up on the net), so it can't be very big.

It is the primary hybrid between C. schilleriana and C. aclandiae. It was registered in 1901, when no one was thinking of modern fashion of 'minis'. These flowers can have some 10 cm across. Dots and plant growth seem to be dominant in either of their hybrids.
The plant is about 15cm high, but as the pseudobulbs spread laterally, it needs its space.

The stripes on the lip must come from Cattleya schilleriana. The spots are from Cattleya aclandiae. Makes for a very attractive combination.

No flowers - no smell, nearly. But I don't remember it smell like chocolate. A strong scent if you get near, in sun.
