Rhynchobrassoleya golden tang 'MBF'
My first cattleya-related bloom. Received it as a mature division from Marble branch farms last year. I was worried about the amount of sun needed, but I guess it's possible to grow a cattleya on my windowsill.
Supposedly has a lemony scent, but I wasn't able to detect any this morning. I like the spotted and accented lip.

Very pretty! If a scent developes it's an added bonus.

I think one or more of its ancestors is fragrant in the evening. You might try smelling it then.
Congrats on getting it to bloom!

Pretty color, and it looks like it stays a reasonable size for indoors. Good choice!

I couldn't detect any scent during the evening either, but it could be my allergies.
At least, a second one opened up, and two more buds on the way.

Great colors and pattern on the flowers. Congrats on the bloom, just bought my 1st 2 cattleyas about a month ago. If I get them to bloom, I see 1 of those big orders from Carmelas in my future!

I love orange catts. I love spotted catts... I'm not sure how I feel (in a good way) about orange, spotted catts!
I keep telling myself I won't buy more... but this, this is just to hard!
Beautiful plant, I really, really love it.

Thanks for the kind comments.
I purchased this plant from Marble Branch Farms.
index.html
When I bought this plant, the website mentioned that there weren't many left to sell. I noticed that the plant isn't listed on their website anymore.
The Blc Golden Tang online seem to vary quite a bit from one to another... Maybe mine will gradually change into a uniform yellow too?
